Job summary

Rite of Passage in Tampa, FL is seeking a Recreational Manager for Columbus Youth Academy, a male youth residential program. You will oversee daily recreational activities that are physically challenging, educational, and constructive, reporting to the Clinical Director and joining the Student Services Department.

The role requires a BA/BS in physical education or related field with experience in group physical education or recreation therapy, plus a valid driver's license and ability to pass

Qualifications

• BA/BS in physical education, leisure studies recreation, recreation therapy or equivalent with one year experience in group physical education, recreational programs or recreational therapy.
• Working knowledge of the Positive Operation Culture.
• Leadership ability to instill high-standard positive attitudes among staff and students.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively serve students.
• Possess a valid Driver's License.

Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth! Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Recreational Manager at Columbus Youth Academy in Tampa, Florida

Columbus Youth Academy is a moderate-risk residential commitment program for male youth up to age 19. This program provides youth with comprehensive care, treatment, supervision, and evidence-based sex offender services. Youth will also receive psychotherapeutic services, including individual, family, and group counseling, while in the program.

What you will do: You will work as a staff member of the Student Services Department team. Primarily responsible for providing daily recreational and leisure time that is physically challenging, educational, and constructive. The Recreation Manager reports to the Clinical Director.

Education
