Job summary

Caltech is seeking a Recreation Manager to lead the recreation program within the Athletics, Recreation and Instruction department. The role is a 12-month, full-time exempt position requiring early mornings, nights, and weekend flexibility.

The manager will oversee membership operations, supervise ~26 weekly fitness classes, and coordinate with campus partners to promote health and wellness initiatives across the Institute.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3 years of experience in recreation management.
• Experience with Innosoft/Fusion Membership software.
• Ability and willingness to serve as a positive health and fitness role model for the community.
• Strong general computer and database management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and implement the membership database program Innosoft/Fusion, manage fees, invoicing, records, and reporting.
• Supervise group fitness program with ~26 classes per week; train staff and occasionally teach up to 2 classes.
• Coordinate with Athletics Operations & Facilities for general facility supervision and events.
• Collaborate across Athletics, Recreation, and Physical Education/Instruction to integrate planning and resource use.
• Teach up to 1 PE course per term and perform other duties as assigned.
