Responsibilities

Virginia Beach Psychiatric Center (VBPC) is seeking a Full-Time Recreation Therapist. The role involves providing prescribed and individual recreation services to patients, assessing, maintaining, and developing programs to enhance social, cognitive, physical, and emotional functioning. The therapist maintains a therapeutic relationship with patients, assists in maintaining a safe and clean therapeutic environment, encourages patient participation in recreation therapy activities, and documents accordingly. The position requires working weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

1. An undergraduate degree from an accredited school in Therapeutic Recreation.
