Job summary

Allied Rehabilitation Centers, Inc. in Enfield, CT seeks a Recreation Support Professional to supervise and assist program participants in a recreational setting, help with community navigation, and support skill development such as money management and following directions.

You will help ensure safety and well-being at all times. This per diem, non-exempt position starts at $18.30 per hour and requires a high school diploma; experience with intellectual disabilities is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; experience with intellectual disabilities preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to supervise and care for individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Ability to react to medical and behavioral emergencies.
• Ability to organize and prioritize projects.
• Ability to work productively interdepartmentally.
• Ability to complete forms and basic data entry.
• Ability to plan long and short term.
• Ability to relate to a wide variety of people.
• Ability to understand and instruct on intervention trends.
• Ability to complete surveys and outcome measurement.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and guide assigned program participants.
• Record data and maintain daily documentation for participants.
• Provide PSL transport to community outings.
• Maintain safety, follow agency protocols, and communicate with team.
• Maintain required training and certifications.
