Job summary

Allied Rehabilitation Centers, Inc. – Allied Community Programs is seeking a Community Support Professional (DSP) for the DSO program in Enfield, CT.

The role provides instruction in activities of daily living, pre-vocational training, and supports participation in community volunteering and leisure activities to promote engagement and skill development. Reports to the Day Program Supervisor and supervises participants.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 18+ years of age.
• Clean criminal background.
• Clean driving record and valid driver's license.
• PSL must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Experience with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
• Ability to react to medical and behavioral emergencies.
• Ability to organize and prioritize projects.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Supervision, training, and treatment of persons with disabilities.
• Recordkeeping of attendance, behavioral data, and incident reports.
• Provide non-PSL and PSL transportation as required.
• Provide group instruction in hygiene, safety, social skills, and workplace behaviors.
• Plan community experiences addressing training needs and social integration.
