Job summary

Highland Care Center in New York is seeking a Recreation Supervisor to lead activities for residents, provide in-room activities and one-on-one visits for those unable to attend daily events.

You will create monthly calendars, participate in care plan meetings, develop and organize activities to meet therapeutic needs, and coordinate event support as needed. High school diploma or GED and 1 year related experience required; weekend/holiday rotation.

• Ability to assume leadership role in absence of Director.
• Be able to work rotating weekends and holidays.

Highland Care Center, a 320 bed skilled nursing facility is seeking a Recreation Supervisor, who is a team player with a great personality. The candidate will maintain standards for scheduling and documentation established by policies and regulatory requirements.

This candidate will provide in room activities and 1:1 visit for residents who are unable to attend daily events. They will create a monthly calendar and attend care plan meetings. They will develop, organize and implement activities to meet the therapeutic needs of residents. They will coordinate assistance for events as necessary.
