Job summary

City of Aurora, CO, seeks a Sports Program Assistant to manage sports programs and facilities while ensuring high-quality customer service. You will coordinate registrations, form teams, and assist with field preparation under the Sports Superintendent.

Applicants should have 6 months of related recreation experience; a Colorado driver’s license and CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months) are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• At least 6 months of experience working with individuals with disabilities in recreation programs or similar activities.
• Colorado Driver's License required.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification required or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Manage operation of sports programs and facilities with quality customer service.
• Supervise leagues, coaches, and fields; train, schedule, and supervise officials.
• Input registrations and form teams; evaluate and provide input on umpires as needed.
• Communicate effectively with coaches, parents, and players; resolve conflicts and questions about rules.
