Job summary

Hubert H. Humphrey Job Corps Center in Saint Paul, MN is seeking a Recreation Specialist for the Evening Shift to engage at-risk youth through a diverse recreation program.

Job Duties

• Organize, promote and monitor a recreation program that includes arts and crafts, sports, games, music, dramatics, social recreation and hobbies both on campus and in the community
• Assess interests of students and plan activities accordingly
• Oversee operation of recreational facilities and maintain areas
• Enforce rules and regulations of recreational facilities to ensure safety
• Train and supervise student recreation aides

Candidate Requirements

Associate's degree in related field or one year of relevant experience with youth, one year of recreation experience, and valid Minnesota driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Work Schedules

Full-time working from 1:00 to 10:00 pm on Monday through Thursday and from noon to 9:00 pm on Sunday; off on Friday and Saturday

Pay and Benefits

$18.59 per hour plus benefits
