Job summary

Achieve in Broome County, NY, is seeking a Recreation Support Professional to plan, implement, and oversee the Recreation Respite Program and related leisure activities.

Responsibilities include scheduling activities, preparing materials, transporting participants, maintaining equipment, ensuring safety, and meeting AT R A Standards. A High School Diploma or GED and valid driver's license are required; some experience with individuals with functional differences is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.valid driver’s license.
• Some direct experience with individuals with functional differences preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a record that meets agency guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Plan, promote, implement, and oversee the Recreation Respite Program and related leisure activities.
• Research activities, create a calendar, prepare materials, and facilitate programming.
• Foster independent leisure pursuits and provide necessary tools and supplies.
• Maintain and store recreation equipment and supplies.
• Transport participants to activities as needed.
• Strive to meet AT R A Standards of Practice.
• Provide supervision and direct care to participants.
• Report incidents and safety concerns to the direct supervisor.
