Job summary

Stoughton Parks and Recreation Division is seeking a Recreation Supervisor to coordinate and administer recreation programming within the City of Stoughton’s public works framework. Under the direction of the Parks & Recreation Superintendent, you will supervise staff, coordinate facility use, manage registrations, and prepare reports and budgets for efficient program delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational/technical training in administrative skills.
• One to two years of administrative experience with public contact or equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Creates and implements recreation programs.
• Plans and implements marketing of information regarding recreation programs using brochures, website, email, and social media.
• Hires, trains and supervises recreation program staff, contractors, and volunteers.
• Registers participants by mail, online, and in-person.
• Prepares detailed reports including financial, participation, and evaluation data.
• Secures and coordinates use of facilities for internal and external use.
• Processes payroll and contracted services; handles deposits and petty cash.
