Job summary

The City of Sunrise is seeking an on-site Recreation Support role to handle cash transactions, memberships and class registrations while assisting with planning events and rentals. The position emphasizes public interaction, safety, and facility upkeep in a dynamic athletic club environment.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, basic customer service experience, and preferred First Aid/CPR certifications. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Proof of highest level of education must be submitted with application.
• Basic work experience in dealing with the public and customer service.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Preferred Certification: First Aid; CPR.

Responsibilities

• Operate the cash desk, register patrons for classes and memberships.
• Maintain inventory and display items, prepare inventory reports.
• Receive, account for merchandise, reconcile deliveries.
• Assist with planning and implementing recreation activities and rentals.
• Enforce policies, monitor safety and equipment use.
• Ensure safety and sanitation of fitness equipment; report repairs.
• Concession duties as assigned, including snack prep.
• Answer inquiries and provide program information.
