Job summary

City of Evans is seeking a Recreation Supervisor to oversee facility rentals and programs at the Evans Community Complex. The role involves supervising part-time staff, coordinating registrations, and ensuring quality service for community events.

You will work with the Recreation Manager to develop state-licensed day camps and senior programming while coordinating with partners and schools to optimize facility use.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Recreation or related field, or equivalent combinations of education/experience.
• 3 years of experience in recreation, leisure activities and facility scheduling.
• Valid Colorado Driver’s License or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
• CPR/First Aid/AED Certification, or ability to obtain within three months of hire.
• Preferred: bilingual in English and Spanish; public/municipal sector experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise state-licensed camp, senior programs, facility rentals, and general recreation programs.
• Manage part-time and seasonal staff and supervise scheduling and registrations.
• Develop and implement recreation programming and special events in coordination with the Recreation Manager.
• Coordinate facility bookings, deposits, payments, and refunds; ensure accurate revenue and attendance records.
• Liaise with schools and community partners to align scheduling and programming.
• Ensure compliance with state health requirements and safety standards.
