Job summary

scgov is seeking a Supervisor to lead Laurel Park, Nokomis Community Park, and Venice Train Depot, directing programs, events, and operations across facilities. You will manage staff, coordinate partnerships, and oversee budgets to deliver high-quality recreation experiences for residents and visitors.

You will work closely with the Recreation Division Manager to optimize staffing models, program delivery, and customer service, while ensuring safe, accessible facilities and strong community

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in recreation or related field is required.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in recreation or community programs.
• Minimum 2 years of experience coordinating programming and large events.
• Experience with facility operations and partnerships is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and direct a broad range of recreation programs and events at assigned facilities and countywide.
• Oversee daily facility operations, staffing, safety, and customer service.
• Coordinate maintenance and operational needs with facilities and parks staff.
• Maintain partnerships with community organizations and user groups.
• Provide staffing recommendations and supervise staff and volunteers across rentals and events.
• Develop budgets, monitor revenues, and assist with pricing and contracts.
• Ensure compliance with county policies and accreditation standards.
• Monitor facility usage trends and suggest program improvements.
