Job summary

West Bloomfield Parks & Recreation Commission is seeking a Recreation Manager to oversee youth, teen, adult, senior and family programs. You will lead a team of full- and part-time staff, manage budgets, and coordinate with Wellness & Sports Manager and Naturalist Supervisor to align programming across divisions.

You will recruit, develop and supervise staff and volunteers, and partner with marketing to raise community awareness of programming.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Recreation and Parks Administration or related field required.
• 2+ years management experience in recreation programs or equivalent.
• CPRP certification within one year of hire.
• First Aid and CPR certification within the first six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Directs youth, teen, adult and senior programs and partnerships to meet goals.
• Manages staff and volunteers; coordinates schedule, training and performance reviews.
• Oversees budgeting, purchasing, sponsorships and program reporting.
• Maintains facilities operations, safety, sanitation and equipment use.
