Job summary

The City of Frederick is seeking a program coordinator responsible for all aspects of the given program, ranging from development, program content, scheduling, supplies, instruction, and implementation. Prior instructor or coordinator experience is preferred; 21+ yrs old with a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate verbally in English and work with diverse groups.
• 21 years of age or older and a high school graduation or GED.
• Prior instructor or coordinator experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report directly to Recreation Supervisor and coordinate with them on scheduling.
• Design, plan, and implement program content and activities.
• Instruct all aspects of the program and supervise instructors or aides.
• Complete accident forms and report to supervisor; ensure safety of participants.
• Maintain program area cleanliness and security, and track hours and attendance.
• Maintain open communication with staff and program participants.
