Job summary

The City of Richmond, Virginia, seeks a skilled Recreation Program Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio including Out of School Time and Supplemental Nutrition Programs. You will provide leadership, operational oversight, and strategic direction to ensure high-quality, inclusive programs for residents of all ages and abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in parks and recreation, business/public administration, or related field.
• 5 years of professional recreational programming and/or parks or facilities management experience.
• 2 years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee Out of School Time programs across multiple sites.
• Train staff to address behavioral, social, and emotional needs using restorative practices and trauma-informed care.
• Recruit, train, supervise, schedule, and evaluate staff across recreation disciplines.
