Job summary

A recreation coordinator position manages customer service at athletic facilities, organizes the Rec-N-Roll program for 3rd–6th graders, and oversees volunteer chaperones while handling registrations, payments and reports. The role includes facility upkeep, safety, and assisting with marketing and events to engage local citizens in recreational activities.

Evening and afternoon shifts are possible; some weekend work may be required to support programs and special events.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year coordinating recreation programs/events.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service at athletic facilities.
• Organize and coordinate weekly Rec‑N‑Roll activities for 3rd–6th graders.
• Register citizens for classes, camps and activities using software.
• Process POS transactions and payments.
• Oversee nine Rec’N’Roll chaperones and assign duties.
• Monitor budget and prepare weekly reports.
• Maintain facilities and assist with events and marketing.
