NeighborHealth Corporation in Winthrop, MA, seeks a full-time Recreation Assistant to support the PACE Center program. You will help facilitate Participant Council meetings, ensuring CMS-compliant rights, engagement, and feedback, and assist with therapeutic recreation aligned to care plans.

Role includes guiding Personal Care Assistants to ensure safe participation and coordinating with the interdisciplinary team to deliver quality activities in a fast-paced setting. Bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• HHA, CNA, or National Activities certification.
• Two years' experience with elders in healthcare.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience leading small and large groups.
• Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution.
• Discretion handling sensitive information.
• Flexible, reliable, proactive, and organized.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Recreation Therapist with facilitation of Participant Council meetings.
• Support planning, implementation, and evaluation of therapeutic activities.
