Job summary

Renaissance Hotels is seeking a Recreation Operations Manager to support the Director of Recreation, focusing on the pool and beach areas, daily upkeep, and cabana operations. You will model exceptional service and help drive guest satisfaction and financial performance, working with direct reports to execute departmental strategies.

The role emphasizes staff supervision, event scheduling, vendor coordination, and maintaining safety and quality across recreation programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1 year experience in the recreation/health club operations or related professional area.
• 2-year degree from an accredited university in Health Education, Physical Education, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; no work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises employees and supports day-to-day operations.
• Monitors quality and meets/exceeds customer expectations daily.
• Schedules events, programs, and activities, and coordinates with team.
• Provides personal assistance and care to others as needed.
• Understands job-relevant issues and processes; shares expertise with staff.
• Supports management of outside vendors including water sports and scuba.
