Job summary

Missouri Veterans Commission is seeking a dedicated team member to assist Veterans through recreational, music and therapeutic activities. You will learn basic methods, prepare activities, and carry out group outings while documenting attendance, assessments, and care plans.

You may also transport Veterans in state vehicles, support them in daily tasks, and assist with lifting as needed, all within a respectful, safety-focused environment. This hourly role offers meaningful service opportunities.

Qualifications

• 0–1 years of relevant experience.
• Current Missouri Class E driver license.

Responsibilities

• Learn and demonstrate basic methods and application of recreational, music, and other therapeutic activities
• Make preparations/arrangements for and carry out activities, such as group outings
• Provide resources and support to Veterans to enhance skills appropriate to their physical and cognitive ability
• Document electronically activity attendance records, assessments, progress notes, and care plans
• Drive bus or other state vehicles during day/night both in town and on highway
• Lift and move Veterans as needed
