Job summary

The Missouri Veterans Home is seeking a Recreation/Music Therapist Assistant to support therapeutic and leisure activities for Veterans across our facilities. You’ll learn and apply basic recreation and music approaches, help organize group outings, and document progress in care plans.

This role offers hourly pay of $16.99–$18.41 based on experience, with 0–1 years of relevant experience and a Missouri Class E driver license (or ability to obtain within 60 days).

• Missouri Class E driver license or able to obtain within 60 days

Responsibilities

• Learn and demonstrate basic methods and application of recreational, music, and other therapeutic activities
• Make preparations/arrangements for and carry out activities, such as group outings
• Provide resources and support to Veterans to enhance skills appropriate to their physical and cognitive ability
• Document electronically activity attendance records, assessments, progress notes, and care plans
• Drive bus or other state vehicles during day/night both in town and on highway
• Lift and move Veterans as needed
