Job summary

Gulfshoresal is seeking a Concession Supervisor for the Young Family Athletic Center in Norman, OK. The role supports concession operations with scheduling, ordering, cash handling and safety audits, while maintaining a clean, safe cafe environment.

The ideal candidate will have 1+ year leadership experience, 18+ age, a valid Oklahoma driver’s license and CPR/First Aid training. In-house certifications and quick, reliable decision-making are valued.

Qualifications

• Applicant must be at least 18 years old.
• Minimum 1 year of leadership experience required.
• Must possess a valid Oklahoma driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• CPR/AED/First Aid training completed; in-house training for two certifications.
• Cash Handling and Food Handling certifications completed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development, administration and operation of the Concession department.
• Perform administrative tasks, food ordering, staff scheduling and cash out.
• Prepare reports, plan events and conduct safety audits of staff/equipment.
• Provide a safe and respectful workplace; maintain cleanliness of Timeout Cafe.
• Carry out custodial and maintenance tasks as needed and other duties as required.

Job description

Work Period: Varied Schedules (average 20-29 hours per week).

Education and Experience: Applicant must be at least 18 years old and have a minimum of 1 years' experience in a leadership role.

License and Certifications: Must possess a valid Oklahoma driver’s license and satisfactory driving record. City of Norman Cash Handling Certification and Cleveland County Food Handler Certification. (These two training courses are done in-house). CPR/AED/First Aid training.

Knowledge: Knowledgeofstaffmanagement,foodhandling,safefoodpreparation, inventory management, risk management, customer service, and knowledge in emergency procedures and first aid treatment.

Skills: Oral communication skills. Interpersonal skills necessary to be courteous of fellow employees and customers while performing duties. Ability to supervise and train staff, possess leadership skills, good decision making and organizational skills. Lead by example and have the ability to do physically and mentally demanding work.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Essential Functions: Assist in the development, administration and operation of the Concession department at Young Family Athletic Center. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, ad-ministrative work, food ordering, staff scheduling, cash out, reports, special event planning, safety audits of the staff and equipment, staff in-service training and providing a safe and respectful workplace for all the other employees. Including the maintenance and cleaning of the Timeout Cafe, assuring necessary custodial and maintenance tasks are completed daily and in a timely manner. Performs other related duties as required.

Mental and Physical Abilities: Ability to maintain regular, predictable and punctual attendance. Ability to communicate effectively with public. Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail. Ability to lift and carry light (up to 25 lb.) supplies, materials, and equipment frequently. Ability to lift and carry moderately heavy (25-50 lb.) supplies, materials, and equipment occasionally. Work requires continued walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing.
