Job summary

Northeast Center for Rehabilitation and Brain Injury in Lake Katrine, NY is seeking a Recreation Leader to join a team-driven rehabilitation program focused on community re-entry. The role runs Sunday-Wednesday, 8:30am-7:00pm, totaling 40 hours weekly and involves developing innovative programs for residents to support physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Walk-in interviews are available Wednesdays from 10am to 3pm with on-the-spot hiring.

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience in art and recreation leadership in a hospital or related medical facility.
• Relates well to brain-injured individuals.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate recreation programs as directed
• Take program attendance and provide data to the Director of Recreation
• Visit residents one-on-one, assisting with maintaining clean and organized activity areas
• Perform any other duties as required by the Director of Recreation
• Document client progress

As a Recreation Leader, you will play a vital role in our comprehensive team-driven rehabilitation program with a strong community re-entry emphasis.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Recreation Leader to work Sunday-Wednesday from 8:30am-7:00pm, 40 hours per week. As a Recreation Leader, you will develop and implement innovative programs for our residents, providing a comprehensive team-driven rehabilitation experience that promotes their physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate recreation programs as directed
• Take program attendance and provide data to the Director of Recreation
• Visit residents one-on-one, assisting with maintaining clean and organized activity areas
• Perform any other duties as required by the Director of Recreation
• Document client progress

Requirements:

• 4 years of experience as an Art and Recreation leader in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or other related medical facility (preferred)
• Relates well to brain-injured individuals
• Ability to work independently
