Job summary

Homewood--flossmoor-Park-Distric is seeking part-time instructors for the Before/After School program. You will supervise students, plan and direct activities, and ensure safety and well-being during school breaks and after-school hours.

Ideal candidates are at least 16 years old, with experience with children and CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain). Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old and able to supervise children.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• CPR/AED certification required or willingness to become certified.
• Ability to plan and lead recreational activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service to internal and external guests.
• Direct and help plan activities.
• Give guidance and direction to students.
• Provide for safety and well-being of all students.
• Lead activities during half and full days off school.
• Attend staff meetings and follow the Safety Manual.
• Assist in maintenance and cleanup of equipment and facilities.
• Other related duties as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Site Director, instructors report to their Site Director and Recreation Supervisor.
