Job summary

China Lake Golf Course is seeking staff to provide front-line administrative support, instructional supervision, and facility maintenance for recreational programs. The role includes customer service, event planning, safety oversight, and assisting with scheduling and promoting activities.

The position entails managing participant check-ins, gear handling, and providing information about hours and events, while ensuring clean, safe facilities and proper equipment use.

Responsibilities

• Provides customer service to patrons using the facility, including greeting customers, checking identification cards to ensure only authorized users enter, issuing and receiving gear/equipment, and registering patrons for facility use, events, and/or classes.
• Answers telephone, providing information about facility hours, upcoming events and programs, etc.
• Completes the Daily Activity Reports, handles cash where fees apply, verifies money collected, and drops the cashier bag in the drop safe.
• Assists in planning, scheduling, and publicizing activities and maintaining related supplies to attract and motivate participants.
• Oversees the sale of retail items associated with activities.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) fitness activities from participants' responses, resources, and program objectives.
• Monitors patrons, volunteers and contractors at the assigned program/event and reports issues to management.
• Assists in selecting fitness, sports, and aquatics activities offered, aligned with program categories and available resources.
