Navy Region Mid-Atlantic Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) seeks a duty manager at the Norfolk Naval Base to support recreation and internet facilities, ensuring operations run smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

The role involves staffing coordination, customer service, cash handling, and assisting with programs and events, with a focus on maintaining security and quality patron experiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of related work experience preferred.
• Ability to lead staff and communicate effectively.
• Knowledge of cash handling and basic arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• Serve as duty manager to ensure facility operates smoothly, safely, and effectively.
• Manage cash receipts, deposits, and cash register closeouts and DAR reports.
• Maintain order, resolve patron issues, and remove disruptive patrons when needed.
• Perform nightly security checks, door and key controls, and incident reporting.
• Assist with recreation programs, events, and promotions and promote activities.
• Greet patrons, issue equipment, and process payments and reports.
• Register new computer center users, diagnose minor issues, and refer complex problems.
