Job summary

Mecklenburg County Government in North Carolina is seeking a Recreation Facility Manager to oversee Albemarle Road Recreation Center operations, staff, programming, rentals and community outreach.

Responsibilities include budget planning, revenue monitoring, contract management, and building strong community partnerships while ensuring safety and delivering diverse programs for all ages; occasional evenings and weekends required.

Qualifications

• Four+ years in recreation programming
• One year supervisory experience or completion of supervisor training
• Bachelor's degree in Recreation Administration, Park and Recreation or related field
• Proficient in Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Manage budget planning, revenue goals, and monitoring of facility income and expenses
• Oversee daily operations and supervise staff across departments
• Manage and monitor vendor, agency, and individual contracts
• Develop, promote, schedule and coordinate programs, classes, and events
• Respond to requests or complaints and ensure quality recreation services
• Prepare concise reports on programming, attendance, and facility usage
