Job summary

The Village of Western Springs is accepting applications to fill a part-time Building Attendant position in the Recreation Department. The Building Attendant provides a visible, accessible presence at Recreation Department facilities, ensuring safety and order during programs and events.

Shift hours include weekday evenings and weekends; duties include securing exterior doors at closing, assisting with program setup and custodial tasks, and delivering high-quality customer service.

Qualifications

• Certified in CPR/AED and First Aid or able to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Follow the basic cleaning schedule as outlined in Building Attendant Daily Responsibilities.
• Provide the highest quality customer service to external and internal customers.
• Awareness of safety and well-being during program operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible, accessible presence at Recreation Department facilities.
• Secure exterior doors by locking them at closing time.
• Address safety and wellbeing issues per department and Village policies.
• Assist with program setup/cleanup and custodial needs of the building.
• Work shifts include weekday evenings, weekends and holidays.
