Job summary

City of Cupertino is seeking Building Attendants to support the Recreation and Community Services Department. Roles include setup, event support, and facility supervision at senior centers, community halls, and other city venues.

Shifts mainly occur on evenings and weekends, with possible weekday options. Candidates must be at least 16 and earn CPR/First Aid within six months. This is a part-time, non-benefited, at-will position with limited hours.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old and obtain CPR and First Aid certification within six months.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a customer service mindset.
• Ability to follow written directions and set up rooms for events.
• Knowledge of basic custodial practices and safe work standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, open, and close facilities for reservations, programs, and events.
• Arrange furniture and equipment for classes, programs, and events; ensure correct setup.
• Set up and operate audio/visual equipment for programs and events.
• Remove trash in and around buildings and maintain cleanliness.
• Monitor facility usage for compliance with rules and rental parameters; greet rental customers.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
