Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 1 year of full-time paid supervision experience OR Associate’s degree with 2 years of full-time paid supervision experience.
  • Ability to promote, plan, organize and carry out recreational activities.
  • Experience supervising volunteers and seasonal staff is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Plans and directs organization of recreational activities to maximize use of City facilities.
  • Supervises scheduling of team events (baseball, softball, tennis, etc.) and individual activities (swimming, courts, etc.).
  • Recruits and organizes volunteer recreation leaders; supervises seasonal employees.
  • Monitors budget, requisitions materials, maintains records and reports finances and activities.
  • Ensures maintenance requests by Public Works are followed up; manages equipment and supplies.
