Job summary

Craneville Place Nursing & Rehab Center in Dalton, MA is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Activities Director to lead a vibrant recreation program that enriches residents' lives. You will design and oversee a calendar of activities, coordinate volunteers, and work with nursing staff to promote well-being.

This full-time, Monday-Friday role offers benefits and opportunities to make a meaningful impact. Candidates with ADC preferred and strong organizational and leadership skills are encouraged

Qualifications

• ADC certification is preferred.
• Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Outstanding organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• A positive attitude and genuine passion for improving the lives of older adults.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee a diverse calendar of recreational, educational, and social activities.
• Create programs that reflect each resident's interests, abilities, and goals.
• Organize special events, celebrations, community outings, and entertainment.
• Lead, mentor, and schedule the activities team while coordinating volunteers.
• Work collaboratively with nursing and interdisciplinary staff to promote resident well-being.
• Ensure department documentation and programming meet all applicable regulatory requirements.
• Jump in and actively participate in activities to create an engaging, welcoming atmosphere.
