Job summary

Craneville Place Nursing & Rehab Center in Dalton, MA is seeking a creative Activities Director to lead a vibrant recreation program for our residents.

You will design and oversee a calendar of recreational, educational, and social activities, tailor programs to residents’ interests, and coordinate volunteers.

ADC preferred; a high school diploma is required; you’ll work closely with nursing staff to support well‑being and foster a welcoming atmosphere.

Qualifications

• ADC preferred certification.
• Experience in skilled nursing/long‑term care is a plus.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee a diverse calendar of recreational, educational, and social activities.
• Create programs that reflect residents' interests, abilities, and goals.
• Organize special events, celebrations, community outings, and entertainment.
• Lead, mentor, and schedule the activities team while coordinating volunteers.

• Ensure department documentation and programming meet all applicable regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements:

• Activities Director Certification (ADC) is preferred

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Outstanding organizational, communication, and leadership skills
• A positive attitude and genuine passion for improving the lives of older adults
