Job summary

STMA Schools in Minnesota is seeking a Recreation Coordinator to oversee the daily operation of the activity center and to develop, implement, and evaluate youth sports and high school intramural programs.

Start date is immediate; contract is 260/261 days with a Monday–Friday schedule. Requires a Bachelor’s degree; strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential. Competitive salary with comprehensive benefits.

We are a district that serves over 6,700 students and employs 750+ employees in a northwestern suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Our district is comprised of one primary school for kindergarten students, three elementary schools for grades 1-4, two middle schools for grades 5-8, and one high school for grades 9-12.

Position Overview & Responsibilities

Under the direction of the director of community education, the recreation coordinator is responsible forthe daily operation of the activity center and developing, implementing and evaluating youth sports and the high school intramural programs. Start date:Immediate/Determined during interviewing process.
Contract: 260/261 days
Schedule: Monday-Friday,TBD

Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Community Education, Recreation, or related field. Must demonstrate initiative and problem solving skills while being able to effectively communicate and interact with internal and external administrators and stakeholders. Prior job related work experience preferred.

Salary & Benefits
Starting Salary Range Salary:$52,000 to $61,000, depending on experience and other qualifications.

Benefits package:Tier 1 Coordinators Benefits Package, which includes access to Medical, Dental, Life, Long-Term Disability Insurance, and 403(b), plus Earned Safe and Sick Time and Minnesota Paid Leave, as required by law.
