Job summary

Hartford HealthCare's Cedar Mountain Commons in Newington, CT, seeks a Recreation Coordinator to support the Activities Director by planning and delivering engaging activities for residents on a weekend-focused schedule. This role emphasizes compassionate service in a retirement community.

You will assist with active and passive programs, group and individual sessions, aimed at enhancing residents' mental, physical, spiritual and social well-being, while promoting participation and safety.

Qualifications

• Two or more years’ experience working with older adults preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills
• Valid Driver's License and ability to obtain a CT Public Service License with passenger endorsement within three months of hire

Responsibilities

Shift Detail: 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Sunday with option to pick up Mon 9:30 -12:30

Cedar Mountain Commons is a not-for-profit independent and assisted living retirement community, where residents are able to maintain their independence while living in the safety and comfort of a service-rich environment. The Recreation Coordinator assists the Activities Director in providing active and passive, group and individual activities to enhance the mental, physical, spiritual and social needs of residents. Allows residents to continue playing an active role in society.
