Job summary

The City of Fayetteville is seeking a Recreation Center Supervisor to develop, plan, organize, implement, oversee, promote and conduct a wide variety of activities, operations and programs at an assigned recreation center in Fayetteville, NC. This role includes supervising staff, coordinating volunteers, managing the center budget, and ensuring high-quality recreational services for all ages.

A Bachelor's degree in a related field and relevant certifications are preferred; driving history checks

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in recreation administration, physical education, business administration or related field.
Possession of a valid driver's license and ability to maintain insurability.
CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications within one year of hire.
Experience in recreation program planning and administration preferred.

Responsibilities

Organize, schedule, coordinate, administer and supervise a wide variety of recreation classes, leisure activities and events for all ages.
Recruit and vet instructors, coaches, and volunteers; provide training to volunteers.
Oversee routine maintenance of the recreation center; manage budget and expenditures.
Answer questions and provide information to the public about programs, policies, and procedures.
