Job summary

Carol Stream Park District is seeking a part-time Recreation Attendant to assist with sports programs and events. You will monitor activities, help with setup, and ensure safe, enjoyable experiences for participants.

Responsibilities include pass checks, light maintenance, equipment setup, responding to questions, and reporting incidents. Applicants must be self-motivated, professional, and able to work with minimal supervision; background checks are required and minimum age is 16.

• Check for open gym passes and set up equipment.
• Maintain equipment and monitor safety and sportsmanship.
• Respond to customer questions and concerns.
• Assist with administrative tasks as assigned.

Job description

Salary & Benefits

• Starting at $15.00/hour - $16.00/hour for 16-17 year old's.
• Starting at $16.00/hour - $17.00/hour for those 18+.

Days & Hours

• Part-time position (employees do not work more than 1,000 hours in a calendar year).
• 10-20 hours a week.
• Afternoon and evening weekday hours, as well as weekends.
• We will only consider applicants with weekend availability.

Job Requirements

Recreation Attendant needed to monitor our sports programs and special events. Duties include but are not limited to: checking for open gym passes, light maintenance, equipment set-up, and monitoring safe and proper activity. Additional responsibilities include: monitoring condition of equipment, ensuring good sportsmanship, responding to customer concerns and questions, and managing and reporting accidents. May also be asked to complete administrative tasks as assigned. Applicant must be self‑motivated, work with minimal supervision, and present a mature, professional, and positive attitude.
