Job summary

Andaz Miami Beach Resort & Spa is seeking Recreation Attendants who are enthusiastic, guest-focused, and reliable. You will welcome guests, ensure safety by enforcing pool rules, and help manage pool equipment and facilities.

Experience with Micros, high volume service, and a positive, professional attitude are a plus. Strong communication and physical fitness are essential to thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment on-site in Miami Beach.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of hospitality experience.
• First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to be trained).
• Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Physically fit with swimming ability and able to perform labor in various conditions.
• Ability to move and lift heavy furniture and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up pool areas and ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Welcome guests, provide towels and refreshments, attend to requests.
• Clear towels, glasses and trash; monitor activity and enforce safety.
• Report damages and manage pool cleaning and inspections.

Andaz Miami Beach Resort & Spa is now recruiting Recreation Attendants to join the hotel’s team. An art-deco building and architectural landmark is home to the newest luxury lifestyle hotel located in the heart of Mid-beach. The property boasts 287 guestrooms including 64 breathtaking suites and the ONLY Ocean-view arrival experience in Miami Beach. Job Summary

Andaz Miami Beach Resort & Spa is looking for Recreation Attendants who are excited, qualified, hard-working, individuals with a passion for hospitality and a commitment to superior guest service. Experience with Micros, high volume, and extensive Recreation Attendants are all beneficial but not required. The Recreation Attendants. In this role, you will be required to welcome and attend to our guests, enforce safety rules, and manage pool equipment and facilities, among other duties.

To be a successful pool attendant, you will need to have excellent customer service skills, be highly organized, and have a good knowledge of swimming pool equipment and maintenance. A skilled pool attendant should be friendly, physically fit, and able to assist swimmers in danger when necessary.

Duties & Functions

• Set up umbrellas, loungers, and pool furniture; ensure the pool and facilities are clean and safe.
• Welcome guests, provide towels, refreshments, and attend to their requests, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Clear used towels, glasses, and trash, while monitoring guest activity and enforcing safety protocols.
• Report damages or incidents to the supervisor and manage pool cleaning schedules and inspections.
• Uphold company policies, including safety, sanitation, and attendance guidelines.
• Work as part of a team, maintaining a positive, friendly, and professional attitude at all times.
• Provide exceptional food and beverage service, listen to guests’ needs, and respond promptly.
• Ensure the proper handling of wine and alcohol and follow all safety procedures.
• Perform opening and closing duties, including side work and station setup, and participate in training sessions.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required in the hospitality industry.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least one year's experience in the hospitality industry.
• Recent First Aid and CPR certification, if not we will train you.
• Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Physically fit, good swimming abilities, and able to perform physical labor in harsh weather conditions.
• Ability to move and lift heavy furniture and equipment.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of pool equipment and safety measures.
• Consistent professional appearance and pleasant demeanor.
