Job summary

Andaz Miami Beach Resort & Spa is seeking Recreation Attendants enthusiastic about hospitality and guest service. You will welcome guests, manage pool facilities, and ensure safety with good knowledge of pool equipment. Prior Micros experience is a plus, but training is available for safety certifications.

The role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a focus on excellent customer service, teamwork, and physical stamina to work around poolside environments.

Qualifications

• Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• High School diploma or GED.
• 1+ year experience in hospitality.
• First Aid and CPR certification; training provided if needed.
• Excellent verbal communication and customer service.
• Physically fit with swimming ability and ability to lift heavy items.
• Knowledge of pool equipment and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set up pool area and keep facilities clean and safe.
• Greet guests and provide towels and refreshments.
• Clear towels, glasses and trash and enforce safety protocols.
• Report damages and incidents; manage pool cleaning schedules.
• Uphold company policies, including safety and sanitation.
• Work as part of a team with a positive, friendly attitude.
• Provide food and beverage service and attend to guest requests.
• Ensure proper handling of wine and alcohol and follow safety procedures.
• Perform opening and closing duties and participate in training sessions.

Job Summary

Andaz Miami Beach Resort & Spa is looking for Recreation Attendants who are excited, qualified, hard-working, individuals with a passion for hospitality and a commitment to superior guest service. Experience with Micros, high volume, and extensive Recreation Attendants are all beneficial but not required. The Recreation Attendants. In this role, you will be required to welcome and attend to our guests, enforce safety rules, and manage pool equipment and facilities, among other duties. To be a successful pool attendant, you will need to have excellent customer service skills, be highly organized, and have a good knowledge of swimming pool equipment and maintenance. A skilled pool attendant should be friendly, physically fit, and able to assist swimmers in danger when necessary.

Duties & Functions

• Set up umbrellas, loungers, and pool furniture; ensure the pool and facilities are clean and safe.
• Welcome guests, provide towels, refreshments, and attend to their requests, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Clear used towels, glasses, and trash, while monitoring guest activity and enforcing safety protocols.
• Report damages or incidents to the supervisor and manage pool cleaning schedules and inspections.
• Uphold company policies, including safety, sanitation, and attendance guidelines.
• Work as part of a team, maintaining a positive, friendly, and professional attitude at all times.
• Provide exceptional food and beverage service, listen to guests’ needs, and respond promptly.
• Ensure the proper handling of wine and alcohol and follow all safety procedures.
• Perform opening and closing duties, including side work and station setup, and participate in training sessions.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required in the hospitality industry.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least one year's experience in the hospitality industry.
• Recent First Aid and CPR certification, if not we will train you.
• Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Physically fit, good swimming abilities, and able to perform physical labor in harsh weather conditions.
• Ability to move and lift heavy furniture and equipment.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of pool equipment and safety measures.
• Consistent professional appearance and pleasant demeanor.
