Job summary

Power Wellness is seeking a Recreation Associate for The Centre, a facility in Rolla, Missouri. This part-time role administers recreation programs for youth, including athletic leagues, summer camps, and vacation day camps, while upholding the highest safety and customer service standards.

Responsibilities include supervising gym activities, ensuring programs start and end on time, maintaining setup and cleanup, promoting safety on courts and in common areas, and staying current with required

Qualifications

• 1-6 months related experience or training in recreational or fitness environment preferred.
• Must be sports-minded and have the ability to lead and play many sports/activities.
• Must possess excellent customer service skills.
• The ability to be flexible and accommodating as it relates to scheduling of programs, working outdoors, standing for long periods of time and working in a noisy environment.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required within 90 days of hire (provided by Power Wellness).

• Administer recreational programs for participants of school age and skill levels, and supervise activities in the gymnasium to ensure safety and cooperation.
• Be responsible for all assigned programs including being prompt and ready to begin on time, ending class on time, set up prior to program and clean-up of general area after program.
• Provide order, safety and security by being present on the basketball courts and other areas in which groups of members are sharing space and/or playing organized games.
• Follow directions given on scheduled events and activities.
• Have a complete knowledge of the center, staff, services, fees and hours of operation.
• Must meet all safety requirements and certifications necessary to perform job duties (i.e., basic water rescue, infant CPR, etc.)
• Demonstrate Power Wellness Core Values & Beliefs.
• Other duties as assigned.
