Job summary

The City of Anna, Texas is seeking a Recreation Assistant to support planning, coordination, and delivery of recreation programs, athletic activities, camps, classes, community activities, and special events. This part-time position emphasizes inclusive, high-quality experiences for residents.

Under supervision, you will aid daily operations, participant engagement, facility and equipment readiness, and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in recreation, athletics, camps, customer service, or related setting preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid Class “C” driver license when hired. Must maintain insurability under the City’s Vehicle Insurance Policy.
• Must possess current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications or obtain within six months of employment.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check, and MVR check.
