Job summary

Obsolete Site is seeking an assistant to support the Facilities Operations Team Leader at an Army installation on Oahu. The role includes opening and closing facilities, ensuring security, handling equipment and fees, and monitoring usage.

You will perform maintenance and routine safety checks in a dynamic environment. The position requires a valid driver's license, ability to lift 45 pounds, and willingness to rotate shifts including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to pass a Medical Physical Examination and an AR 215-3 background check.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Facilities Operations Team Leader with assignments and quality checks.
  • Open/close facilities and ensure security systems are operable.
  • Issue and account for recreational equipment and collect fees.
  • Pre-check equipment for customers and monitor usage; report issues.
  • Clean and maintain recreation spaces and operate related equipment.

Job description

Duties
  • Works as an assistant for the Facilities Operations Team Leader who makes specific assignments, explains policies and procedures and reviews work for quantity and quality of completed projects.
  • Job may require work in various facilities depending on requirements as determined by customer demand or programmed activities. Opens and/or closes facilities by locking/unlocking doors and windows and assuring security system is operable.
  • Issues/receives recreational equipment to authorized users. Collects applicable fees for items issued, accounts for monies collected safeguards funds and makes daily bank deposits.
  • Pre-checks, prepares equipment for customers, explains use, monitors proper usage. Conducts surveillance of total facility and reports any unusual findings to supervisor.
  • Cleans recreation equipment, supplies and facility area. Operates equipment and performs self-help maintenance on facilities and equipment.

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • This job requires the ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
  • Selected applicant must be able to pass a Medical Physical Examination.
  • Requires rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Subject of satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para 2. to include a Tier 1 background investigation.

Allowances and Differentials
  • This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
