Job summary

Army Non-Appropriated Funds (NAF) position on the Standing Register. Assists the Facilities Operations Team Leader, manages facility access, equipment issue, and maintenance tasks across sites to meet security and safety standards.

The role requires lifting up to 45 pounds, pre-employment screening, E-Verify, and rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays, with benefits typical of federal employment and on-base facilities access.

  • Issues/recycles recreational equipment; collects fees and deposits; accounts for funds.
  • Pre-checks and prepares equipment for customers; monitors usage; reports any unusual findings.

Job description

Duties
  • Works as an assistant for the Facilities Operations Team Leader who makes specific assignments, explains policies and procedures and reviews work for quantity and quality of completed projects.
  • Job may require work in various facilities depending on requirements as determined by customer demand or programmed activities. Opens and/or closes facilities by locking/unlocking doors and windows and assuring security system is operable.
  • Issues/receives recreational equipment to authorized users. Collects applicable fees for items issued, accounts for monies collected safeguards funds and makes daily bank deposits.
  • Pre-checks, prepares equipment for customers, explains use, monitors proper usage. Conducts surveillance of total facility and reports any unusual findings to supervisor.
  • Cleans recreation equipment, supplies and facility area. Operates equipment and performs self-help maintenance on facilities and equipment.
Requirements
  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • This job requires the ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
  • Selected applicant must be able to pass a Medical Physical Examination.
  • Requires rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Subject of satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para 2. to include a Tier 1 background investigation.

Allowances and Differentials
  • This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
