Job summary

U.S. Department of the Navy—Commander, Mid-Atlantic Region, Fleet and Family Readiness Program—is seeking a duty manager for an athletic facility.

The role involves assisting patrons and overseeing operations as directed, applying leadership, customer service, and problem-solving KSAs in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate experience or training in athletic facility operations, basic arithmetic for inventory and charges, and the use of basic hand tools for minor

Qualifications

• Combination of training and education or minimum one-year specific experience in an athletic facility or program required.
• Knowledge of basic arithmetic to perform inventory and make change quickly and accurately.
• Skill in the use of basic hand tools to perform minor maintenance and repair.
• Must demonstrate leadership abilities and ability to manage a large group to maintain order and discipline.
• Must be skilled in customer service techniques, tact and good judgment.
• CPR and First Aid Certification required or to be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Job description

This position is located within Commander, Mid-Atlantic Region, Fleet and Family Readiness Program. The purpose of this position is to assist patrons of the assigned athletic facility and to serve as "duty manager" as assigned. Resumes must include information which demonstrates experience and knowledge, skills, and ability (KSAs) as they relate to this position. A qualified candidate must possess:

• A combination of training and education or a minimum one-year specific experience in an athletic facility or program is required.
• Knowledge of basic arithmetic to perform inventory accountability and to compute charges and make change quickly and accurately.
• Skill in the use of basic hand tools to perform minor maintenance and repair.
• Must be a mature individual with documented leadership abilities, who can exercise control over a large group of people to ensure good order and discipline as necessary.
• Must be skilled in customer service techniques, tact and good judgment.
• Must possess CPR and First Aid Certification or obtain within 30 days of hire.
