This vacancy is for a GS - 0189 - 7, Recreation Assistant located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, CG ACADMEY MWR SECTION in NEW LONDON, Connecticut.

Key Responsibilities

You will serve as a/an Recreation Assistant and be responsible for planning & directing the scheduling of official functions, private parties, and special events.. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Responsible for assisting the Club Manager with staffing each function at maximum efficiency levels and ensures qualified personnel are assigned to each function.

Preparing party sheet for each function to be held. Responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of accounting documents for non-appropriated transactions. Maintaining assigned subsidiary ledgers for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, customer deposits, unearned income, annual leave payable, equipment, prepaid items, and central storeroom inventory accounts.
