Qualifications

• Associate degree in Recreation, Sports Management, or related field.
• CPO, First Aid, CPR, and Oxygen Administration certifications.
• 2–5 years of lifeguarding and lifeguard management experience.
• Prior cash handling, recreation program, and supervisory experience.
• Strong communication, customer service, organizational, and judgment skills.
• Ability to work a flexible, year-round schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Bachelor's degree and recreation-related professional certification preferred.

Join the Borough of Chambersburg Recreation Department and help lead Recreation Programs, Sport Leagues, and the Chambersburg Aquatic Center. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Legally authorized to work in the United States and able to maintain required clearances.
• Residency within 15 driving miles of the Borough's corporate boundaries within one year of hire.
• Valid driver's license, three‑year clean driving history and insurability required.
• Must obtain and maintain required certifications and licenses where applicable.
