Ponca Tribe of Nebraska seeks a Recreation & Activities Coordinator to plan, prepare, and deliver daily youth recreational activities for afterschool and summer programs. The role requires engaging K-12 youth in indoor, outdoor, and pool activities while promoting healthy, active lifestyles.
The coordinator will supervise staff, enforce safety rules, and maintain activity records, ensuring facilities and equipment are well-kept and used properly.
Recreation is defined as "activity done for enjoyment when one is not working" and activities can be defined as "a form of organized, supervised, often extra-curricular recreation." Through education, motivation, and leadership, the Recreation & Activities Coordinator will be responsible for collaborating with co-workers and program partners on the planning, preparing, and delivering of daily youth recreational activities during the afterschool and summer program hours. The position will have knowledge of recreational activities to include indoor, outdoor, and pool activities that may include, but not be limited to, competitive sports, recreational activities, lifetime activities, leisure time activities, crafts, culture, gaming, and pool programs and activities. This position will have the ability to work with K-12th grade youth, motivating them to reach goals and milestones for health and wellness.
