Job summary

Allaire Health Services is seeking a Recreation / Activities Aide to join our team. This role focuses on enhancing residents' quality of life through engaging, person-centered activities in a friendly community setting.

You will work closely with residents, coordinating individual and small-group activities, and helping decorate spaces for seasonal and special events. A positive team attitude and excellent communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience working with seniors or in a healthcare setting is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Enhance residents' quality of life through individualized activities per policies.
• Provide one-to-one activities addressing residents' needs.
• Present a positive image of the organization to residents and staff.
• Assist with activity setup, decorating, crafts, and special events.

Recreation / Activities Aide Responsibilities:

• To enhance the quality of life for residents/clients according to established policies, procedures and objectives of the organization.
• One-to-one activities utilizing interpersonal needs to meet resident/client needs
• Projects a positive image of the organization in dealing with residents/clients, co-workers, public
• Errands, handling resident mail, flower arranging, seasonal decorating, cleaning activity areas/storage space, photographing of residents, serving of special meals, baking, gardening, creating craft projects
