Job summary

The City of Poulsbo is seeking an entry-level Recreation Aide to support a wide range of recreational programs and services. The role involves program setup, facility monitoring, customer service, and basic instruction across sports, outdoor recreation, youth and community activities.

Responsibilities include assisting with safety, class coordination, and program operations, with opportunities to learn CPR/First Aid and work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist in teaching and conducting recreation activities for participants of all ages.
• Support coordination and implementation of programs, classes, camps and events.
• Set up and break down equipment and materials for activities.
• Provide supervision to ensure safety and adherence to rules.
• Respond to customer inquiries and communicate professionally with parents and community members.
• Assist with attendance tracking and administrative tasks.
