Job summary

Highland Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation in Happy Valley, PA is seeking a dynamic Activities Department teammate for full-time or part-time roles. Experience is a plus; candidate must be available every other weekend and holidays.

The position requires tact, professionalism, and frequent interaction with residents and families. Duties include establishing rapport with residents with Alzheimer's/Dementia, developing psychosocial activities, and coordinating programming with the Activity

Qualifications

• Must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Ability to facilitate group activities and work with dementia residents.
• Positive attitude, energy and teamwork are essential.

Highland Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a dynamic and caring individual for a Full and Part Time positios within the Activities Department. Experience is a plus. Individual must be willing to work every other weekend / holiday.

This position requires tact, sensitivity and professionalism due to constant interaction with residents and families.

Position duties include:

• Establish rapport with Alzheimer's/Dementia care residents and their families
• Develop approaches/interventions to meet the psychosocial needs of residents
• Collaborate with Activity Director to develop and run programming ideas for residents
• Demonstrate knowledge and experience with residents having dementia and appropriate therapeutic/behavioral interventions
• Must be able to work with a team
• Ensure residents are treated with dignity and respect
• Must have a positive attitude, enthusiasm, creativity, patience and energy

Job Type: Full Time / Part-Time

Required experience:

1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. At least one year experience in pediatrics and/or geriatrics recreation
3. Be able to facilitate group programs independently
4. Positive attitude and energy
5. Strong communication, interpersonal and written/reading skills
6. Valid driver's license
