Job summary

Martine Center in White Plains, NY, is seeking an energetic Recreation Aide CNAs to support residents in our 200-bed rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility. The role focuses on engaging residents through individualized activity programs and requires the ability to work with residents on units without direct supervision.

The ideal candidate will have experience in healthcare activities or college work in recreation therapy, strong computer skills, and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Martine Center is seeking energetic & passionate Recreation Aide CNAs for our Skilled Nursing Facility in White Plains, NY.

DUTIES:

• Implement activities programs for Residents; focus on individual interests
• Work directly with Residents on units; without direct supervision
• Organize and obtain supplies and equipment as requested
• Assist recreation specialists & set up program areas as needed
• Keep daily attendance and document residents’ participation in activities
• Assist residents to program location and return residents to appropriate units
• Be familiar with established emergency procedures

REQUIREMENTS:

• Positive attitude and energy is a must!
• Experience with activities in a healthcare settings or college work in recreation therapy
• Previous experience with Geriatric population preferred
• Strong computer skills necessary
• Ability to work effectively as a team member
• Strong organizational & planning skills; ability to multi-task
• Some weekends required
• Dementia experience preferred
